FM Têxteis, S.A. is a Portuguese knitwear manufacturer based in Gilmonde, Barcelos, with over 25 years of experience producing outerwear for men, women and children. The company runs a fully digitised, traceable production process, from the moment an order is placed through to export. Its pattern making department, with over 25 years of combined experience, develops more than 1,500 models per year, ranging from simple t-shirts to more delicate textile garments. Knit fabric, the company's primary raw material, is sourced from a portfolio of qualified, certified suppliers, then cut on automated cutting equipment with three tables capable of handling different knits and styles simultaneously. Confection runs through an internal, certified production unit capable of producing any type of textile garment, supported by strategic partnerships with specialised subcontractors for additional capacity when needed. Packaging is handled in-house too, with twelve pressing stations and an automatic folding machine before shipment. FM Têxteis holds six sustainability and quality certifications: OEKO-TEX STeP, GOTS, OCS, GRS, RCS and BCI (Better Cotton Initiative), alongside SEDEX/SMETA ethical trade audits. The company has also been backed by Portuguese and EU public investment programmes, including FEDER Norte 2020, Portugal 2020, and a PRR-funded decarbonisation project.
