The story behind the work
Tell your company's story
VSG Fashion started in 2002 in Fafe, in the Braga district of northern Portugal, at the center of the country's densest textile cluster. We began as a sourcing and production business, small enough to be flexible, experienced enough to deliver. For the first eight years we operated out of rented space, taking on a growing portfolio of international clients and building the supply network that defines how we work today.
In 2016 we moved into our current facility in the Aroes Industrial Zone in Fafe. The building was designed for what we do: dedicated areas for raw material storage, pattern-making, cutting, and production, plus a product development laboratory equipped with artificial intelligence tools for prototype development. Having everything in-house removed the coordination gaps that slow most production partnerships down.
We handle the full process. That starts with supplier selection from our vetted network of knitters, weavers, dyers, laundries, embroiderers, printers, and accessory suppliers, then moves through raw material sourcing, prototype development, production, multi-stage quality control, and warehouse and logistics management including import and export documentation. We hold an EORI code and issue certificates of origin, which means customs is handled on our end. Brands working with us have one contact from first brief to delivered shipment.
We produce in both knitwear and wovens, selecting the construction that fits each project. Our export experience spans Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, the UK, the US, and Hong Kong. Past production runs have included work for the Inditex Group, Vetements, Minga London, Springfield, El Corte Ingles, and Tartine et Chocolat.
The facility runs on solar power: panels cover half the building's roof, and logistics run on a fully electric vehicle. Waste is managed under an R12 recycling program that keeps materials in circulation rather than sending them to landfill. Packaging defaults to reduced plastics. These are operational realities, not targets.
