Texdia was founded in 1985 in Riba de Ave, in the northern textile corridor of Portugal, 20 minutes from Porto Airport. The founding specialisation was men's underwear in knitted fabrics and that focus has held for four decades, through continuous investment in materials, machinery, and design.
We operate as a semi-vertical producer. Yarn enters the facility, knitted fabric is produced on our own in-house knitting plant, and the finished garment exits the same building, cut, sewn, and quality-checked. This single-chain model means we control quality at every stage, from knit structure to final seam, without depending on external fabric suppliers.
Our collections run under two proprietary brands, Timeless and Official, each releasing twice a year. The in-house design team develops a complete range of men's underwear for each season, covering briefs, trunks, boxer briefs, and jersey T-shirts. Clients can take these directly into private label, adapting colourways and labelling to their own brand. We also produce entirely to client specification for brands that want their own design from brief to bulk. Materials include cotton, organic cotton, lyocell, modal, nylon 66, and recycled fibres, sourced through ongoing partnerships with Lenzing, Fulgar, and Adalberto.
We hold OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. Eco-friendly fibre integration, reduced water consumption, lower CO2 output, and recycled material use are built into the daily production process, not treated as an add-on.
