LBT (Luís Brito, Têxteis, S.A.) is a Portuguese manufacturer founded in 1980, specialised in jersey and interlock knits for the premium segment. Since 2018 the company has been owned by private equity (Horizon Equity Partners, 80%, and Home Investments), and has grown from a family business into a professionally led company focused on value-added production.
LBT produces across a wide range, from graphic tees and sweatshirts to cut-and-sew dresses, woven-mix blouses, technical bottoms and pleated skirts, for men, women and kids. The client roster includes premium and luxury names such as Givenchy, Casablanca, Margiela, Kith, Revolve, Lemaire, Sézane, October's Very Own, Bally, Thom Browne and Paul Smith.
Production runs fully in-house, from sourcing and fabric selection through development, patternmaking, sampling, cutting, sewing, finishing, quality control and delivery. The company works with high cost-per-minute, complex construction, and materials including GOTS-certified and regenerative-certified options.
With 160 employees across 2 sites and roughly 350,000 garments produced per year, LBT is actively expanding into the US and Canadian markets alongside its established base in Spain, France, Italy and Germany.
