The Goucam Group was founded in 1978 in Viseu, in the centre of Portugal, as a small family business. Over the following four decades it grew into one of the country's leading outerwear manufacturers, a position it has held through consistent investment in people, technology, and production capacity. The group today operates five specialized facilities with over 300 workers. The production focus is structured outerwear and tailoring for men and women: jackets, coats, winter coats, suits, and trousers. Three dedicated production lines handle jackets and coats, a fourth runs trousers, and a fifth is one of the most capable automated cutting operations in Portugal. All pattern work and cutting runs through Gerber CAD technology, which drives precision and reduces waste across every run. We offer both Full Package and CMT production. Full Package covers fabric sourcing, design consultation, pattern making, cutting, sewing, quality control, and packaging through to delivery. CMT is available for brands that arrive with their own materials and patterns ready. Either way, the production chain is handled by the same team, in the same facilities. We are certified under GOTS, RWS, BCI, and SEDEX SMETA. These certifications cover organic fibre processing, responsible wool sourcing, better cotton, and ethical trade auditing. They are maintained annually and available on request. Over 90% of our production is exported. Spain and Denmark are our largest markets.
