We are Caifai, a knitwear manufacturer based in Barcelos, Portugal. Founded in 1987, we have spent 37+ years building our expertise in knitted clothing for men, women, and children. Our entire production is export-focused, 100% of what we make leaves Portugal for international fashion brands.
We produce a wide range of knitted garments: T-shirts, tops, polo shirts, cardigans, jersey dresses, and bodysuits, using both cut-and-sew and knit-to-shape construction. Our material range spans cotton, linen, viscose, modal, Lyocell, polyamide, cupro, silk, and cashmere, giving brands significant flexibility in fibre selection across price points.
Our infrastructure reflects the demands of major international clients: CAD pattern systems and automated cutting equipment ensure consistent quality at scale. We have built our reputation serving prestigious fashion brands, and that track record is the strongest signal of what we deliver.
